Kalyan Silks enters a new phase in its growth with a new logo and brand ambassador

Kalyan Silks, the world's largest silk saree showroom network, is all set to take a giant leap into the future of textile retailing with an all new logo and a young sizzling brand ambassador. Kalyan Silks' newly appointed brand ambassador Prithviraj unveiled the new logo of Kerala's favourite saree brand on 25th February 2011, at The Gateway (Taj), Cochin.

'Kalyan Silks has been an indispensable part of Malayalees' lives for over a century now. So we have taken every care to retain the stamp of Kalyan Silk's rich heritage while designing the logo. The new logo embodies the spirit of youth and the values of our legacy at once," said T.S. Pattabhiraman, Chairman & Managing Director, Kalyan Silks.

Headquartered in Thrissur, today Kalyan Silks takes pride in its world-class showrooms in Thrissur, Kochi, Palakkad and Kozhikode. By the third week of March, Kalyan Silks' Kannur showroom will become operational. Sprawling across 75000 sq.ft. this showroom will be a whole new experience in textile retailing. In May, Kalyan Silks will rededicate the renovated Palace Road showroom to its hometown after adding another 30,000 sq.ft of shopping space. The new corporate office cum wholesale showroom will be inaugurated in Thrissur in late May.

By the end of this year, Kalyan Silks will add three more world-class showrooms to its portfolio by opening outlets in Kottayam, Thiruvanathapuram, and Thiruvalla. The expansion plans will be powered by a capital investment of Rs.500 crores in the comig years. Introduction of new looms at Kanchipuram and Banaras, and opening of India's first premium class boutique at Kochi showroom are among the expansion plans that are in the offing. The year 2012 will witness Kalyan Silks' foray into the international market. Showrooms will be opened in Dubai, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia in the first phase.

Kalyans Silks' growth plans are not confined to expanding its showroom network. Having introduced India's first branded bridal saree Sougandhika, Kalyan Silks is taking the bridal saree market to new heights through its next collection the Hi-Five Brocade Series. Each creation in this series features five essential things that make a bridal sari perfect. Kalyan Silks will soon launch its readymade label that will deliver international quality at Indian prices.
