MANI RATNAM SAYS NO TO RAAVAN SCREENING
Mani Ratnam had earlier decided to screen his Raavan in the prestigious IIFA this year. However, with the event being held in Sri Lanka and the issue snowballing into a controversy, the director has decided against it, we hear.
There is even an official confirmation from Mani’s office that Raavan has nothing to do with the IIFA. All this, apparently, after the Tamil industry ignored the invitations from the IIFA.
Earlier, there were plans to picket Mani’s home and office in Chennai, should the director not change his stance and go ahead with the screening.
