Shriya likes Mollywood

After a busy half a decade in filmdom, South Indian super actress Shriya Saran has finally found some time to be in Mollywood.

Shriya is finding the sets of ‘Pokkiri Raja’ with the crew very cool, energetic and interesting. The young director of the movie Vaishakh Abraham is now busy shooting the combination scenes of Shriya and Prithviraj at Ernakulam.

Shriya will feature in two songs, set to music by Jassie Gift for the movie. The actress will also have a few sequences with Superstar Mammootty, who will join the sets on the 20th of this month.

‘Raavan’ at 55 and counting

We are talking about the production cost so far of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’. Yes Rs.55 crores is the amount of money that’s involved in the making of ‘Raavan’, keeping in mind the fact that it’s a bilingual being made in Tamil and Hindi.

Being his home production, Mani Ratnam has not compromised anything for the quality. For starters, read this- Reports from sources say that dogs that look like wolves have been brought from Australia for a whopping Rs.3 crores.

As reported earlier, the movie was shot in Pollachi and the deep forests in Kerala. A special set was erected near the Chalakudy falls in Kerala. Apparently, a rain pulled it down and huge loss was incurred. So the unit had to erect new set.

Mani Ratnam’s penchant for details is well known. It’s also learnt that the sun rise from the Chalakudy falls is a delightful sight and Mani didn’t want to miss it. So he and the unit of ‘Raavan’ used to get up as early as 4 am to record the natural scene.

Shriya saran in Pokkiri Raja with Prithviraj

Shriya Saran will be seen in her first malayalam movie named Pokkiri Raja. She has been paired with Prithviraj in this movie.

Pokkiri Raja is being directed by Vysakh who will make a debut with this movie. The star cast of this movie includes Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Sai Kumar , Vijayraghvan, Salim Kumar, Suraj and Bindu.

This movie is being produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under Mulakupadam Films banner. Both mammootty and Prithviraj will act role of brothers whose father is a strict teacher with his own ideals and values.

The script of this movie has been written by Siby k thomas and UdayaKrishna and cinematographer for this movie is Shaji.

Shriya Saran making her debut in malayalam movie, has great expectation with this movie. Also audience will see new blockbuster actress Shriya first in this Malayalam movie.

This movie is a family drama movie with a tint of emotion,love and romance.
